Hey gents & ladies alike,
I have been acquainted with the idea of lucid dreaming for quite some time now. Sadly, though, my experiential knowledge has been very limited. I've purchased the Novadreamer as a part of the lucid dreaming kit from the Lucidity Institute back in 2004, as well as the Gateway Experience Program from the Monroe Institute, with little results. The G.E. is in tape format, but the quality is pristine for cassette tapes, so i doubt that's the problem. I've even consumed supplements such as choline bitartrate, B-6, etc etc etc, but my lucid dreaming ability & OBE ability is nearly zero.
I know I need to be persistent, as avid LD'ers & OBE'ers say, but I have only realized a handful of LDs and the only OBE I've ever had was actually 1/4 of a real OBE (I was in a LD, woke up in bed, experienced sleep paralysis, at which point my arms- white fuzzy light color- came out of my flesh arms and just sort of dangled in the air. Intriguing, yes, but not what I'm looking for.
While I become enthusiastic every few months and utterly consume myself in LD reading and/or video material, I often fall prey to apathy once my efforts prove minimal (a.k.a. the placebo effect of 2 or 3 LDs initially when i become utterly consumed consciously during the day with reading and/or video material, but then the initial excitement of relearning the how to's wears off and I cannot achieve much more than a relaxed state of mind.) BTW, i have NEVER been able to achieve a WILD, so anything out of the ordinary in that department would be helpful.
MAIN QUESTION
My main question in the midst of all this inquiry is the GE/Hemi-Sync stuff. I have that, as stated. Do you listen to that throughout the night on repeat, or just the 45 minute sessions? Reason i ask is, again, I have cassette tapes and do not have the luxury of repeat on my tape player. I could convert them into digital format, but like Josh noted earlier, the transfer of data is likely to alter a bit and thus compromise the quality of the sound waves/beats.
Sorry this was so long, I know you are probably busy but thank you so much in advance for your response,
Stephen
P.S.- I just got out of the Air Force last year after 4 & 1/2 years and didn't die in war! Praise God! Time to get an education now... hehe
